Requirements
- Current, unrestricted RN license
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to pass a background check
- Pre-employment drug screening required
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in corrections or similar settings is preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and document medical histories and current health status.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and established nursing standards.
- Regularly evaluate and update care plans to reflect changes in the patient’s condition.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare providers regarding patient needs and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and the broader healthcare team to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Administer medications per policy, monitor responses, and document accurately.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough documentation in all aspects of patient care.
- Transcribe and execute physician orders in compliance with policies and procedures.
- Provide compassionate support to patients, maintaining dignity, confidentiality, and respect at all times.
- Assist in the training and orientation of new team members.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Perform additional duties within scope of practice as assigned.
