About The Position

Laurel Oaks Behavioral Health Center is a 118-bed Acute Psychiatric Hospital and Residential Treatment Center for children and adolescents ages four through eighteen. The facility, approximately 55,000 square feet situated on 10 acres, is located in the southeast corner of Alabama, near the borders of Florida and Georgia. It includes living units and the New Day Academy, a year-round K-12th grade school with vocational opportunities. The hospital employs around 195 staff members. Laurel Oaks Behavioral Health Center is currently seeking Registered Nurses for Night Shifts. The Registered Nurse provides nursing care to psychiatric patients (children and adolescents) using the established nursing process. This includes documentation, leading nursing groups, adhering to program guidelines, administering medications, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment by intervening with disturbed patients, managing admissions and discharges, and utilizing restraint techniques when necessary. A sign-on bonus is offered.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age
Graduate from an accredited RN School of Nursing.
A diploma graduate and/or an associate degree in nursing required.
Current status as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama.

Responsibilities
