Registered Nurse (RN) — Richmond Behavioral Health — Med Surg Float
About The Position
If you are looking for flexibility then the Richmond Float Team is for you! The Float nurse will follow all Bon Secours policies and procedures. Float RNs go to all sites in our Richmond market and float to Behavioral Health and Med Surg Units. This position offers flexibility with self-scheduling, 36 hours a week, and the opportunity to work day or night shifts. A shift differential is available for night and weekend shifts. The role requires 1 Summer and 1 Winter holiday and every third weekend to be worked. The Float Team Flexibility is a key aspect of this role, allowing nurses to experience various units and facilities within the Richmond market.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association required
- Two or more years clinical RN experience required in BH and MS
Nice To Haves
- Must also have floor med/surg experience (for Behavioral Health)
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
- Provide advanced treatment and care to patients with complex diagnoses
- Evaluates, updates and revises plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes
- Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and Bon Secours policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
