Hiring Pre/Post Endoscopy Registered Nurse-Sarasota
About The Position
Provides professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical care environment, guided by the SMHCS nursing professional practice model and in accordance with the ANA's Standards of Professional Practice. The Pre/Post RN rotates between Pre and Post Endoscopy roles, working 10-hour days. This role includes one late stay per week for extended cases and one weekend per month commitment. On Saturdays, RNs work a 10-hour day with paid call for hours exceeding that. Sundays are dedicated call days, typically starting at 0630, with the expectation to go home once cases are completed, as later cases will be handled in the OR.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program.
- For new hires after 2012, Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) required within three (3) years of hire date.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within six (6) months of hire/transfer date.
- Basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
- BLS certified prior to start date.
- FL RN: FL Registered Nurse License
