About The Position

Join Boone Memorial Health as a Registered Nurse (RN) on our Inpatient Nursing Unit. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure high-quality outcomes. The role requires strong clinical judgment, compassionate patient interaction, and adherence to professional standards and regulatory requirements. You will promote patient safety, support patients and families, and contribute to a collaborative healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Active West Virginia Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous inpatient or medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
  • Experience with electronic health record systems preferred.
  • ACLS certification preferred or required within designated timeframe based on unit needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care in accordance with evidence-based practices and established clinical protocols.
  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and accurately document findings in the electronic medical record.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
  • Monitor patient conditions and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Safely administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
  • Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately while ensuring safe and effective care delivery.
  • Promote infection prevention, patient safety, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in orientation, mentoring, and ongoing staff development activities.
  • Maintain compliance with organizational policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
