About The Position
Join Boone Memorial Health as a Registered Nurse (RN) on our Inpatient Nursing Unit. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Active West Virginia Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous inpatient or medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
- Experience with electronic health record systems preferred.
- ACLS certification preferred or required within designated timeframe based on unit needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in accordance with evidence-based practices and established clinical protocols.
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and accurately document findings in the electronic medical record.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
- Monitor patient conditions and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
- Safely administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders.
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care.
- Delegate tasks appropriately while ensuring safe and effective care delivery.
- Promote infection prevention, patient safety, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in orientation, mentoring, and ongoing staff development activities.
- Maintain compliance with organizational policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
