Registered Nurse OB Emergency Department
About The Position
We are hiring a Registered Nurse for the OB Emergency Department at Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN. This is a part-time, day shift position. The role involves assessing and performing obstetrical evaluations and testing on pregnant patients for pregnancy and non-pregnancy related complaints. The nurse will be responsible for triaging complaints, communicating findings to advanced practice providers or providers for further evaluation or treatment, facilitating complete workups, and providing throughput to home or admission to Labor and Delivery for treatment and delivery. Additionally, the nurse will provide discharge education to patients specific to pregnancy-related concerns and plan additional treatments.
Requirements
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program preferred.
Responsibilities
