About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care Unit. This position involves providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population with various acute and chronic medical conditions. The unit is an IMCU (Intermediate Care Unit) with 16-20 beds and a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. Candidates will be working with patients experiencing Sepsis, Heart Failure, Hypertensive Emergencies, Respiratory Failure, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Chronic Kidney Disease, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (TDM2), Substance Abuse, and Encephalopathy.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a progressive care or similar setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Responsibilities
- Administering medications and treatment protocols, including heparin drips.
- Monitoring patient progress and vital signs.
- Providing education and support to patients and their families.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care.
- Documenting care and patient interventions accurately.
