About The Position

This is a full-time, night shift position for a Registered Nurse in the Combined Medical Surgical Unit at Berkeley Hospital. The role involves delivering patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, problem identification, care planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse will coordinate patient teaching and collaborate with other health team members. Key responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, developing care plans, administering medications safely, and coordinating patient care across departments. The role also emphasizes patient safety through quality improvement participation and a compassionate, relationship-based approach to care.

Responsibilities

Delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process through data collection and assessment.
Identifies and determines the priority of patient’s problems/needs.
Evaluates the process and outcome of nursing care.

Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.

Serves as point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments.
