About The Position

This is a part-time day shift position for a Registered Nurse in the Inpatient Care Unit at TriHealth Bethesda Butler Hospital. The role offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus and involves working 24 hours per week, with shifts from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm. It includes every 3rd weekend rotation and holiday rotation. The position is in a collaborative environment with strong nurse-physician partnerships, offering opportunities to sharpen assessment and decision-making skills in a fast-moving acute care setting. Nurses have autonomy to apply holistic, evidence-based care across diverse patient populations and receive support for professional development, including BSN attainment and specialty certification. The culture prioritizes patient dignity, safety, and the voices of frontline nurses.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing required
  • New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
  • BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)
  • Registered Nurse licensure
  • Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs at various stages of the life cycle

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred membership in related professional organization
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant acute care nursing experience strongly preferred
  • Preferred certification in specialty

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document initial and ongoing patient/family assessments.
  • Develop, communicate, and update individualized plans of care, including discharge planning.
  • Provide safe, patient-centered care that supports autonomy, dignity, and diversity.
  • Recognize and respond to emergencies and take appropriate clinical action.
  • Carry out physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Complete assigned care and documentation within required timeframes.
  • Administer medications/treatments safely and perform technical skills per policy.
  • Evaluate patient responses and revise the plan of care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks appropriately to other team members.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and support training/education of staff and students.
  • Maintain current clinical knowledge and adhere to organizational and departmental standards.
  • Function in relief charge/resource roles as requested.
