We are currently hiring Passionate Nurses at The Arc of San Diego!. You will provide care to clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their own home. The Arc of San Diego operates nine (9) ICF-DD-H residential facilities across San Diego County. We believe in putting people first and creating meaningful days for our clients and each other. The hours for this role are Monday – Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. The pay for this position is $47 to $52 per hour depending on experience. Please note: This postion will support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will be responsible for 4 residential homes throughout San Diego County.

Requirements

  • CA license as Registered Nurse
  • 6 months hands on experience working with people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
  • Valid CA Driver’s License with clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Have experience using electronic case management systems (Therap)
  • Previously provided in-home care in individual or group setting
  • Experience working with people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities

Responsibilities

  • Physical and nutrition assessments
  • Developing individual health care plans
  • Providing case management support
  • Oversight for clients' specialty appointments
  • Pharmacy and medication review
  • Psychiatrist and mental health review
  • Scheduling and attending coordinated client service planning meetings
  • Comfortable providing full care coordination
  • A strong client advocate
  • Have active observation skills
  • A critical thinker
  • Observe the rights and best interest of adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities
