About The Position

PruittHealth @ Home is seeking a per-diem Registered Nurse to provide and coordinate skilled nursing care to home health patients under physician supervision. The nurse applies the nursing process, works with the interdisciplinary care team and attending physician to manage patient care plans, and helps ensure continuity and quality of care. The role includes field visits to evaluate and initiate care, monitor clinical outcomes, and support follow-up and performance improvement. A new pay-per-point compensation model assigns higher point values to visits requiring greater effort. The position is a PRN opening, with special consideration for applicants living in or commuting to New Hanover or Pender Counties. The nurse documents patient assessments, care, and progress using required records and clinician-preferred technology, including OASIS assessments, admissions, recertifications, physician orders, and care coordination records. The nurse also supervises assigned Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses, educates patients and families, respects patient rights, maintains regulatory and clinical records, and participates in agency activities such as case conferences and staff meetings. The role requires a current unrestricted RN license, CPR certification, at least one year of RN experience, a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance for home visits. The company describes its clinician offerings as including a progressive benefit plan, mileage reimbursement, career-growth opportunities, additional pay incentives, flexible schedules, and a supportive team environment.
