Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiology
About The Position
Spectrum Healthcare Resources is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse (Cardiology) at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Portsmouth, Virginia. The role provides nursing care to members of the armed forces and their dependents. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, between 0700 and 1900, and is open on all federal holidays. The position is described as having no nights or weekends and offers employee status with benefits. The nurse performs duties assigned under the task order, including triage, patient assessment and monitoring, use of patient monitoring and treatment equipment, nursing care and procedures, carrying out physicians’ orders within standard nursing practice, documenting care and observations, and providing patient education and emotional support.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Graduate from a college or university accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
- Graduate of a state-accredited professional nursing program.
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- At least one year within the last two years working as an RN in a cardiothoracic, vascular, or cardiology clinical setting.
- Active BLS certification and ACLS.
- U.S. citizen.
Responsibilities
