About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Texas Health Denton will bring their passion to a team-based environment that operates on lean principles and relies heavily on a team atmosphere and individual performance. This role is crucial in providing care to patients recovering from anesthesia, focusing on their safety, physical, psychological, and social needs. They will utilize mutual problem-solving, attentive reassurance, and an encouraging manner to support patients and families in understanding their health and illness. Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma Nursing required OR Associate's Degree Nursing required OR Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred
  • 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
  • RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 days required
  • PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support if working in inpatient recovery 90 days required

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year previous PACU experience or Critical Care experience (ICU or ED) preferred
