About The Position

Saint Clare's Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Medical Psych Unit. Registered nurses provide medical and behavioral health care, educate patients about their conditions, and offer advice and emotional support to patients and/or family members. The role includes running therapeutic groups and providing psychiatric crisis intervention, including seclusion and restraint when needed.

RNs record patients’ medical histories and symptoms; assist with diagnostic tests and analyze results; operate medical machinery; administer treatments and medications; and support patient follow-up and rehabilitation. They also teach patients and families about managing illness or injury, diet and exercise programs, medication self-administration, and physical therapy. Other related duties may be assigned.

The position is full-time on the night shift. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is available to qualified candidates, subject to eligibility and payout terms discussed during the interview process.

Requirements

• Current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards.
• Working knowledge of the interdisciplinary treatment team process, behavioral health programming, and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units.
• Working knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care.
