RN, Registered Nurse | Electrophysiology Lab
About The Position
Emplify Health by Gundersen Electrophysiology Lab in La Crosse, Wisconsin is growing and seeking a passionate RN to join their team. This role is within an award-winning, mission-driven organization focused on providing compassionate care and building meaningful relationships. The position is full-time, 0.875 FTE (70 hours every two weeks) with 10-hour shifts (7:00 am – 5:00 pm). The role involves collaboration with various healthcare teams and is specific to the EP lab, which performs electrophysiology studies, radiofrequency ablations, and pacemaker/defibrillator insertions. The organization, Emplify Health, is a partnership between Bellin Health and Gundersen Health System, a not-for-profit healthcare network serving multiple states with a large team of nurses and providers.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- RN licensure to practice in the state of Wisconsin upon hire
- 2 years RN experience
- Experience caring for cardiac patients required
- BLS for healthcare providers
- ACLS certification required within 3 months of hire
Nice To Haves
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification
Responsibilities
- Perform electrophysiology studies, radiofrequency ablations, pacemaker and defibrillator insertions.
- Collaborate with Cardiotesting, Pre Op, Exercise Physiology, and the Cardiothoracic Surgery teams.
- Provide episodic acute care.
- Participate in call shifts (approximately 2 weeknight call shifts every 3 weeks).
