About The Position
Mayo Clinic in Florida is hosting an onsite hiring event for night shift Registered Nurse (RN) positions across inpatient areas. The RN role involves coordinating nursing care, direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care, functioning within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model. RNs provide leadership through preceptor roles, informal leadership, and quality improvement efforts, and delegate patient care based on skill, experience, acuity, fiscal accountability, and resources. Excellent communication, mentoring, and teaching skills are essential. Some employees may be required to drive their personal vehicle. TN sponsorship is available for eligible candidates who meet state licensure and VisaScreen requirements.

Responsibilities
- Coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care.
- Support professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family.
- Function within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, which includes accountability for planning, implementing, evaluating and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients.
- Provide leadership through activities such as preceptor role, informal leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts.
- Delegate patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and adequacy of resources.
- Participate on committees or projects.
