Registered Nurse Heart and Vascular SDU
About The Position
Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Heart and Vascular Step-Down unit at the Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho. This position is on a 12-hour night shift at a Level II Trauma Center. The nurse will provide specialized, patient-centered care to people with cardiovascular conditions who have stabilized after spending time in the CVICU and are transitioning to the step-down unit. The role includes hands-on patient care, collaboration with the healthcare team, and education to support patients’ health and wellness. The nurse will join a close-knit, growth-oriented team with strong leadership and opportunities for professional growth.
Requirements
- Idaho or multistate RN license; if applicable, establish Idaho residency within six months.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS and PALS certification within designated timelines.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care to patients with cardiovascular conditions.
- Care for patients who have stabilized after time in the CVICU and are transitioning to the step-down unit.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and perform necessary procedures to support optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide patient education and support to promote health and wellness.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and facilitate smooth transitions.
