About The Position
PCU RN caring for adult and geriatric patients on a 36-bed Neuro/Stroke PCU with average daily census of 30. Patient assignments are PCU-level at a 1:4 ratio. Provides continuous telemetry monitoring and care for neuro/stroke, respiratory, cardiac and mixed medical patients.
Requirements
- BiPAP/CPAP proficiency
- HFNC proficiency
- Chest tube management
- Tracheostomy management
- IV therapy
- Phlebotomy
- Central/PICC line management
- Blood administration
- Cardiac drip management
- Dysrhythmia interpretation/management
- Rapid response experience
- Insulin drip titration experience
- Proficiency with Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR communication
Responsibilities
- Provide continuous telemetry monitoring and care for neuro/stroke, respiratory, cardiac and mixed medical patients.
- Manage patient assignments at a 1:4 ratio on a PCU-level unit.
- Administer care to adult and geriatric patients on a 36-bed Neuro/Stroke PCU.
