About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Post Surgical Cardiac Stepdown unit at Ascension St John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. The position is full-time, working day shifts. The nurse will deliver holistic, high-quality nursing care, initiate and monitor patient care plans, coordinate with various disciplines, monitor patient conditions, and manage physician and nursing orders, including discharge planning.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.

Responsibilities

Initiate, implement, and continuously monitor personalized patient care plans, ensuring they are effective and adapt to changing needs.
Serve as the central communication link for all disciplines—from physicians to specialists—to ensure a unified and seamless care journey for every patient.
Accurately observe, record, and promptly communicate changes in patient conditions, acting quickly and decisively on clinical insights.
Manage and execute physician and nursing orders while proactively coordinating all elements of a patient’s discharge plan to support successful transitions of care.
