About The Position

This is a Full Time Registered Nurse position on the General Surgery Unit. The RN works under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and the Director, responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of total nursing care for assigned patients. The role involves utilizing communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to create patient care plans that consider physiological, psychosocial, and cultural diversity. The RN is also responsible for supervising and delegating tasks to non-professional personnel to ensure optimal patient care. Competence in addressing age-related needs of specific patient populations served in the nursing unit is required. The position operates under the direction of leadership and a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive clinical care in accordance with Riverside Health System's standards and facility goals.

Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) or licensed in a compact state Upon Hire
CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire
