About The Position

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the PACU at Surgery Center of Durbin. The role supports patients, physicians, and teammates in an ambulatory surgical center and is part of an organization focused on patient-centered specialty care and clinical quality. The nurse assesses patients throughout their episode of care, develops an individualized perianesthesia plan of care, and provides accurate, concise, pertinent hand-off reports to teammates about patients’ conditions and responses to care. Other duties may be assigned. The listed pay range is USD $36.00 to $43.00 per hour. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current state licensure to practice in good standing.
Complete Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 90 days of employment, or provide documentation of current certification.
Complete an Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course within 90 days of employment, or provide documentation of current certification.
When pediatric care is included in the facility’s scope of services, complete a Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course within 90 days of employment, or provide documentation of current certification.

Nice To Haves

One year of PACU experience is preferred.
Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing or Perianesthesia is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess patient status throughout the episode of care.
Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
Provide teammates with accurate, concise, pertinent hand-off reports on the patient’s condition and response to care.
Perform other duties as assigned.
