4G is a 26-bed Medical-Surgical Overflow Unit that cares for a diverse patient population with a wide range of medical conditions, including renal failure, respiratory failure, diabetes, sepsis, and heart failure. The variety of diagnoses and patient needs provides an excellent opportunity for nurses to develop and strengthen their clinical skills across multiple specialties. Caregivers on 4G may manage complex medical patients and gain experience with advanced treatments and equipment, including: High-flow oxygen therapy Enteral feeding tubes Foley catheters Peritoneal dialysis Telemetry monitoring The unit's dynamic environment fosters continuous learning, critical thinking, and professional growth, making it an ideal setting for nurses seeking to expand their knowledge and build a strong foundation in medical-surgical nursing. We are hiring for full-time and part-time positions on Day Shift & Night Shift for this unit (12-hour shifts with weekend & holiday commitment). The Registered Nurse is accountable for the management of patient care during a designated timeframe. The responsibilities include coordination and evaluation of care, teaching and delegation of patient activities to the other health care team members via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and the environment.
