The Registered Nurse (RN) provides patient-centered care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality care based on established clinical protocols and physician/provider orders. The RN collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care and desired outcomes, while maintaining a supportive and compassionate environment for patients and their families. This is a full-time position in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Northwest Health - Porter Hospital, working 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts (7a-7p). The unit is a 30-bed unit with a 5:1 patient to nurse ratio, serving as a critical care step-down from ICU, including cardiac and neuro patients, as well as patients too acute for med/surg. It is described as a great starting point for RNs interested in specializing in ICU or Trauma.
