About The Position

The Emergency Department at Logan Health Medical Center in Kalispell, Montana, is searching for compassionate, skilled, and resilient Registered Nurses (RNs) to join their team. As an ED RN, you’ll work alongside a collaborative team delivering lifesaving care when it matters most. The Emergency Department is on the front lines when every second counts, caring for patients in a Level III Trauma Center. Our 28-room department serves a diverse patient population, offering exposure to everything from emergent trauma to complex medical conditions. It’s an environment where your skills grow quickly and your impact is immediate.

Requirements

  • Current Montana RN license or compact license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (RQI) within 7 days of hire or prior to independent patient care
  • Knowledge of professional nursing practices, patient care standards, and medical terminology
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to prioritize, adapt to changing patient conditions, and function effectively in a team-based environment
  • Commitment to patient confidentiality and professional standards

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Minimum of two (2) years of Emergency Department or acute care experience
  • Emergency Department Certification
  • ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire
  • TNCC and ENPC within 1 year of hire

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
  • Deliver care in a Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center environment
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Accurately document care and educate patients and families
  • Respond to rapidly changing patient conditions with critical thinking and prioritization
