About The Position

AMG Specialty Hospital - Albuquerque is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) for Night shifts. This role involves direct and indirect patient care in a long-term acute care setting, managing complex medical needs. The hospital specializes in treating conditions such as respiratory failure requiring ventilation, complicated infections, and chronic non-healing wounds. RNs will communicate with physicians and staff about patient conditions, respond to changes in patient status, and perform general nursing duties. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current Registered Nurse Licensure for the State of New Mexico.
Current BLS certification.
Current ACLS certification.
Able to communicate effectively and positively in English, both verbally and in writing.
ICU/Step-down experience (for sign-on bonus eligibility).

Nice To Haves

Acute care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Direct and indirect patient care in a long-term acute care setting.
Manage complex medical needs, including respiratory failure requiring ventilation, vapotherm, bipap, cpap, and nasal cannula.
Administer sedation/pain management, pressor management, and cardiac/anti-arrhythmic management as needed.
Treat complicated infections requiring long-term IV antibiotics.
Manage chronic non-healing wounds requiring extensive treatment with wound vacs and frequent dressing changes.
Communicate with physicians, CCO/co-workers about changes in patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
Perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
