Baptist Health is recognized as a top place to work in health care and has been caring for more patients in Northeast Florida than any other provider for over 30 years. As Jacksonville's only locally governed, faith-based, not-for-profit health system, Baptist Health offers a full spectrum of preventive and specialty care through more than 200 locations and six hospitals. Their centers of excellence include Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center, Baptist Heart Hospital, Baptist Neurological Institute, and Wolfson Children's Hospital. This role involves providing for patient needs using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement. It includes the organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care with ancillary services. Key responsibilities include involving patients and their families in developing individualized care plans, educating patients and families about their disease process and care plan, and serving as a patient advocate. The nurse is responsible for providing care to patients with any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical conditions and minor injuries or illnesses.
