About The Position

This role involves providing for patient needs using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement. It includes the organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care with ancillary services. Key responsibilities include involving patients and their families in developing individualized care plans, educating patients and families about their disease process and care plan, and serving as a patient advocate. The nurse is responsible for providing care to patients with any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical conditions and minor injuries or illnesses.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse
  • Med/Surg experience
  • Ability to use the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
  • Ability to organize and supervise care provided by supportive personnel
  • Ability to coordinate care with ancillary services
  • Ability to involve patients and families in care planning
  • Ability to educate patients and families
  • Ability to serve as a patient advocate
  • Ability to provide care for patients with medical, surgical, chronic, or minor conditions

Responsibilities

  • Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement
