About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for developing, implementing, evaluating, and updating individualized plans of care for assigned patients and their families while supporting the mission and values of the Hospital. Responsibilities include providing direct patient care, as well as appropriately delegating and supervising nursing care in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act and established hospital policies and procedures. Key responsibilities of the Registered Nurse include demonstrating clinical competency; coordinating and managing patient care; promoting quality and patient safety; building effective professional relationships; applying sound clinical judgment and nursing skills; fulfilling the responsibilities and expectations of the RN role within the hospital; and continuing to develop clinical knowledge and expertise within their area of specialty.

Requirements

  • Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Current ACLS certification required within six (6) months of hire.
  • Previous acute care experience is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
  • Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • ACLS certification required are mandatory for charge nurses duties.
  • Regular and punctual attendance.
  • English is the primary language of the facility.
  • Ability to read and write, communicate clearly with co- workers and customers and to respond to appropriate questions regarding work process or work product.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral and/or diagram form.
  • Ability to define and solve problems and collect data.
  • Ability to identify and implement components of the nursing process.
  • Working knowledge and ability to apply professional standards of practice in job situations.

  • Enters or records data timely and accurately; protects confidentiality of patient information; protects data against loss or destruction; reports suspected violation of security/confidentiality issues.

  • Attends in-service and education programs; attends continuing education required for maintenance of certification/licensure.
