Registered Nurses Needed for High Paying Per Diem Visits - Morning and Evening Availability - Durham and West Raleigh
About The Position
The PRN Registered Nurse will provide skilled nursing visits to patients in their homes as part of a specialized care program designed to improve outcomes, reduce hospital readmissions, and support recovery in a comfortable home environment. This role requires strong clinical judgment, independence, and experience in high-acuity nursing skills including infusion therapy and wound care. Nurses will assess patient conditions, provide hands-on treatment, educate patients and caregivers, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care. This position is ideal for experienced nurses seeking flexible scheduling, meaningful patient interactions, and premium compensation for advanced clinical skills.
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
- Infusion therapy experience
- Wound care experience
- Emergency Room (ER) experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently in a home care environment
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Professional, compassionate, and dependable demeanor
- Proof of the following immunizations: COVID-19, Influenza (Flu), Mumps, Rubella, Measles, Varicella, Tetanus (TDap)

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments during home visits
- Provide skilled nursing care according to physician orders and individualized care plans
- Monitor patient conditions and identify changes requiring intervention or escalation
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate care while promoting patient comfort and independence
- Administer and monitor infusion therapies safely and accurately
- Assess IV sites and monitor for complications or adverse reactions
- Educate patients and caregivers on infusion-related care and safety
- Perform wound assessments and dressing changes
- Implement wound care treatment plans according to physician orders
- Monitor wound healing progress and report concerns appropriately
- Educate patients and caregivers on wound management and prevention techniques
- Educate patients and families on medications, treatment plans, disease management, and recovery goals
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, caregivers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Support care transitions from hospital or facility settings to home
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Maintain compliance with agency policies, state regulations, and professional standards
- Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines at all times
