About The Position

This position involves working as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a Float Pool, with a focus on night shifts. Recent acute care hospital experience is required. Critical Care or Emergency Department experience is preferred. The role requires an active Oregon RN State License, BLS certification, and ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire). Organization-approved workplace violence training must also be completed. Depending on the assigned group, PALS and TNCC certifications may be required. Physical requirements include the potential to lift up to 50 lbs. The position will be assigned to one of two groups: Group 1 includes Med/Surg Unit, Post-Surgical Unit, Intermediate Care Unit, and Acute Progressive Unit. Group 2 includes the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 0 years of experience accepted.
  • Recent acute care hospital experience required (within past 5 years).
  • Active Oregon RN State License.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • Organization-approved workplace violence training is required and must be completed by the last day of the month following a 90-day grace period.

Nice To Haves

  • Critical Care or Emergency Department experience preferred.
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) may be required for certain groups.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a Registered Nurse in a Float Pool.
