About The Position
Baptist South is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse for Neuro PCU Days. RN experience including Med/Surg, PCU or Critical Care background. New Hires eligible for a $2,500 Sign on Bonus. Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care. Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care. Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses. Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care.
Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- 1-2 years Telemetry Experience
- Hospital Experience
- RN experience including Med/Surg, PCU or Critical Care background
- Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care.
Nice To Haves
- 1-2 years Cardiac Experience Preferred
- Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS)
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition
- Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
- Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
- Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
- Coordinate care provided by ancillary services

- Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities
