About The Position
We are an adult medical oncology community medicine practice located in Gastonia, NC. Our providers are general medical oncologist that treat patients with all types of cancers. Offering the region’s most highly trained experts, a large suite of support services, and the latest clinical trials – some only available at a few sites across the country – we’re here to care for you through every step of your cancer journey. The RN Transplant is a professional registered nurse and a designated member of the transplant team who provides comprehensive nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with facility or department policies, procedures, and/or protocols under the supervision of the nursing leader. The RN works with patients and their families beginning with the evaluation and will continue through the transplant process. Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
- BSN required. RN candidates for external hire or internal promotion without BSN must be enrolled in a BSN program upon hire/transfer date and must complete program within 3 years of enrollment in the program.
Nice To Haves
- Oncology experience preferred but not required.
- Oncology and triage experience
Responsibilities
