This role will cover Nampa, Ontario and Meridian OBGYN as well as Boise & Nampa MFM. As an RN in the Saint Alphonsus Medical Group, you will provide skilled nursing care in coordination with licensed providers while promoting a positive patient experience with compassion and kindness. You will administer medications, maintain a safe nursing area, and provide education and resources to patients and families based on their needs. RN's are also expected to serve as a mentor to clinical staff, maintain accurate documentation, and preserve confidential information. Our ideal candidate has the ability to make decisions and take action in stressful situations, while providing outstanding customer service. He or she needs to have excellent communication skills and must be a team player. About This Position: Located next to our medical center just off the I-84 and Garrity exit, this clinic offers specialized OBGYN care to the greater Nampa area. From routine exams to reproductive health care, we care for women's health from late adolescence through adulthood.

Requirements

  • RN license in the state of Idaho issued prior to hire date.
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
  • Ability to make decisions and take action in stressful situations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be a team player.

Nice To Haves

  • Nursing experience in an ambulatory setting preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
  • Licensure or proof of application in the State of Oregon within six months of starting.
  • Nonstress Test (NST) certification highly preferred, or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled nursing care in coordination with licensed providers.
  • Promote a positive patient experience with compassion and kindness.
  • Administer medications.

  • Demonstrate skilled technical nursing care under the direction of a provider or RN.
  • Perform and document comprehensive physical and psychological assessments.
  • Educate patients based on assessment of needs.
  • Assist provider with diagnostic/therapeutic procedures, assuring in a safe, clean, competent manner/environment.
  • Assist with patient assessment in coordination with a licensed provider.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, well-stocked nursing area, including patient examination room.
  • Maintain a complete, accurate, and legible patient medical record.
  • Obtain continuing education to maintain clinical expertise and RN clinical ladder.
  • Prepare, administer and evaluate the effectiveness of medications.
  • Provide clinical triage/communication as defined by protocol or per provider instructions.
  • Assist provider with examinations and treatments.
  • Administer oral, rectal, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and Z-Track medications.
  • Administer Intravenous medications after I.V. course.
  • Administer Allergens only under the direction of a provider.
  • Document patient care observations and activities according to professional standards.
  • Aid in identifying methods of improving patient care.
  • Assist or lead in emergency situations.
  • Maintain a clean, well-stocked patient care area, observing aseptic techniques and other regulatory mandates, i.e. OSHA, CLIA, etc.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding patient and business functions of the organization, i.e. HIPPA.
  • Route billing information as appropriate.
