About The Position
Rite of Passage is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse at Fort Myers Academy in Fort Myers, Florida. Fort Myers Academy is a moderate-risk, all-female program contracted through the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice. It provides comprehensive care and treatment, specializing in evidence-based intensive mental health services, in a supportive environment focused on healing and recovery. The Registered Nurse is a key member of the medical team and provides general health care to students within the scope of the nursing license. The position also supports health-related employee training and helps order supplies, pharmaceuticals, and medical equipment. The schedule typically consists of 10-hour shifts. Pay is $34.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Possess a current Florida nursing credential.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Pass a criminal background check and TB testing.
- Pass a search of the child abuse central registry.
Responsibilities
- Provide general health care to students within the scope of the nursing license.
- Administer immunizations and assist with TB screening, flu vaccines, and overall health maintenance for students and staff.
- Assist with training employees on health care topics, including prevention of sports injuries, blood-borne pathogens, CPR, First Aid, and behavioral disorders.
- Assist in ordering supplies, pharmaceuticals, and other medical equipment for the medical team.
