About The Position
The Registered Nurse will independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for patients in the Kellogg Cancer Center. This role utilizes the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care, including administering chemotherapy, medications, and blood products. The nurse will also guide and direct unlicensed assistive personnel, collaborate with the healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes, and contribute to safety and a high-quality patient experience.
Requirements
- Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure, required.
- Associate's in Nursing, required.
- Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association, required.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's in Nursing, strongly preferred
- OCN/ONS provider card preferred.
- Oncology and/or Outpatient Infusion Center experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for patients in the Kellogg Cancer Center
