About The Position

This position requires a Registered Nurse for the Cath Lab, working a day shift. Pre-employment requirements include passing a drug screening. The role demands adherence to all staff RN skills, strong communication, and the ability to function independently while interacting with physicians, the care team, patients, and their families. The nurse must be able to take call at night, on weekends, and two holidays per year.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required.
• Current Alabama Registered Nursing License.
• Current American Heart Association BLS Card.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS Card.
• Minimum 1 year ICU/Critical Care nursing experience required.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Effective communication and excellent customer service, interpersonal and critical thinking skills required.

Nice To Haves

• Cath Lab experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate all skills required of a staff RN.
• Carry out detailed written or verbal instructions independently.
• Function independently and exercise judgment in interactions with physicians, inter professional care team and patients, and their families.
• Take call at night and on weekends; plus, two holidays a year.
