About The Position

American Endovascular is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse for their LIC location. This role is in a procedure-based outpatient setting where the nurse will be responsible for assessing and caring for patients in the Pre, Intra, and Post-Op phases. Responsibilities include administering medications and moderate sedation as directed by the physician, obtaining patient histories, performing venipuncture, collecting specimens, and educating patients. The nurse will also be involved in improving practice procedures, maintaining inventory, evaluating patient status during and after procedures, cleaning medical equipment, recording patient information, coordinating follow-up care, and ensuring patient flow and readiness for inspections. Salary is based on experience.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 2 years Critical Care, ER, Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Intra op monitoring experience preferred.
  • Conscious sedation/moderate sedation certification a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care.
  • Considers all characteristics of the individual, including age and life states, state of human culture, values and previous experiences.
  • Administers medications per established policies and guidelines.
  • Obtaining patient histories, vital signs, venipuncture, specimen collection, and educating patients.
  • Recommends and implements improvements in procedures to ensure smooth functioning of the practice and high-quality care.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies, equipment and/or reagents. May order supplies, equipment and reagents as authorized and/or ensure that needs are escalated appropriately.
  • Receives supply orders and confirms accuracy of delivery. May assist with cost control.
  • Evaluates status of patients during and after procedures to determine and obtain appropriate care, administers various medications and lab tests.
  • Responsible for cleaning, transporting and storing reusable medical equipment.
  • Records diagnosis, treatment plans, progress notes and doctors’ orders in patient charts.
  • Coordinates and participates in patient follow-up care.
  • Must keep doctors aware of any issues and/or corrective actions.
  • Provides oversight to ensure and maintain patient flow.
  • Maintains a state of readiness for inspections.
