Requirements
- 1+ years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience in Labor & Delivery preferred
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
- Will consider Associates Degree if enrolled in an accredited BSN program
- New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Nice To Haves
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
Responsibilities
- Assess, prioritize, continuously monitor, test, and manage overall care for patients who are in labor (including those with high risk pregnancies).
- Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, midwives, registered nurses (RN), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, coaching, emotional support and education.
- Participation in the On call rotation and reporting to work if called in.
