About The Position

The Registered Nurse in Mercy Hospital Perry’s Emergency Department utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintains professional accountability for care provided to assigned patients. The RN evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and coordinates patient care with other departments. The position requires maintaining patient rights and confidentiality and performing duties consistently with Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards. This is a part-time night position working 24 hours per week at Mercy Hospital Perry in Perryville, Missouri.

Requirements

• Graduate from a school of nursing; an associate degree, diploma, or BSN is accepted.
• Obtain and maintain a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure for the state where nursing duties are performed, and meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association, or successful completion of the course within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods during each shift.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
