About The Position
This is a 13-week assignment for a Registered Nurse (RN) working full-time night shifts, offering $60 per hour. The position is located at a Reno LTACH. The role involves utilizing the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise patient care on a nursing unit. Key responsibilities include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family education for post-hospitalization care, and accessing community resources. The role may also include Charge Nurse duties, which require ACLS certification.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates.
- Current BLS certification (AHA approved).
- Evidence of ACLS certification within 90 days of employment (AHA approved).
- Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.
Nice To Haves
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience.
Responsibilities
- Utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit.
- Planning, coordinating, and providing patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources.
- Performing other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).
