About The Position

Serves as a clinical resource to EMC staff on issues pertaining to patients with wounds, pressure ulcers, ostomies, fistulas and incontinence. Provides direct patient care for evaluation and education purposes. Establishes and maintains practice standards and provides ongoing staff education.

Requirements

• Current California RN License.
• At least 2 years of experience with wound ostomy patient care.
• Certification in Wound Care and Management or Certification in Ostomy Care and Management from a nationally recognized program upon hire.
• Must acquire both certifications within one year of being hired/transferred into the position.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
• Good organizational skills.
• Good judgment and problem solving skills.
• BLS Required

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred
• Master’s preferred
• CETN/CWOCN preferred
