About The Position

Specializes in assessing, treating, and educating patients with complex wounds, such as pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, surgical wounds, burns, and skin tears, by developing personalized care plans, cleaning wounds, applying appropriate dressings, monitoring healing progress, and providing patient education on wound care management to promote optimal healing and prevent complications; they often collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. This is a full-time, 32-hour per week position, working day shifts Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm in a fast-paced environment with a highly motivated interdisciplinary team. The role requires the ability to consistently provide safe, patient-centered care and support various organizational responsibilities.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Current Licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in Connecticut.
BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
Experience in acute care.
Experience in Medical-Surgical.
Experience in Wound Care.
Ability to consistently provide safe, patient-centered care.
Ability to handle/support various organizational responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
