REGISTERED NURSE - WOUND CARE
About The Position
Valley Hospital Medical Center, a 306-bed acute care facility in Las Vegas, is seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Wound Care. Since 1972, Valley Hospital has been dedicated to providing quality patient care, utilizing evidence-based medicine and clinical pathways. As a teaching hospital, it focuses on graduate medical education and offers numerous clerkships and internships annually. The hospital has received recognition for its quality services, including the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association Get with the Guidelines-Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement award and an "A" Grade in the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
- Current RN license in the State of Nevada.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department.
- Other certification as may be required by facility, specialty or department.
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
- One (1) year full time or three (3) years part time experience in acute care setting preferred
Responsibilities
- Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
- Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
- The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care.
- Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision.
- Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
