About The Position

Provides direct patient care under the direction of the Clinical Director and Wound Care educator. Working autonomously, the RN accepts responsibility and accountability for assigned patients as a case manager to plan, implement, and evaluate the care for Wound Care and Ostomy clients according to age-specific criteria. The RN assists in coordinating patient care efforts with appropriate plan of patient care in conjunction with Medical and Clinical staff. The RN will participate in work groups and teams, encouraging the participation of education in current best practice standards of wound care. The RN works within the State Practice Act and follows all hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in nursing is required.
  • Current RN License in the State of Georgia.
  • Previous wound care experience required.
  • BLS certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate of Baccalaureate School of Nursing Preferred.
  • Credentialed by nationally accredited program of Wound Care preferred or required within 2 years of employment.
  • Prefer certification by nationally accredited Wound Care body (CWCN, CWS, WCC).
  • Prefer ostomy certification by nationally accredited ostomy body (OMS, CCON).
  • Two years’ experience in an acute care setting preferred.
