About The Position

This is a casual position for a Registered Nurse in a Wound Care Clinic. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and recording patient care according to medical and nursing plans. The nurse will coordinate nursing care with the health team, direct and assist LPNs, HBO technicians, and nursing students, and collaborate with all members of the patient care team. Responsibilities include responding to changes in patient condition and functioning as a charge nurse when assigned. The nurse must demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles and identify age-specific needs.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
• Current license as an RN in Pennsylvania
• BLS required or obtained within 1 month of hire
• ACLS required or obtained within 6 months of hire

Nice To Haves

• Minimum 2 years med-surg experience
• Wound care experience
• HBO experience or attained within 2 months of hire (FT and PT only)
• Experience in outpatient clinic setting
• Wound certification

Responsibilities

• Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and recording patient care in accordance with the medical and nursing plans of care.
• Coordinating nursing care in conjunction with other members of the health team.
• Directing and assisting with the Licensed Practical Nurse, HBO technician, and Nursing Students in rendering care to patients.
• Working collaboratively with all members of the patient care team.
• Responding quickly and appropriately to changes in patient’s clinical condition.
• Demonstrating the ability to function as a charge nurse as assigned.
• Demonstrating knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the span of life and identifies age-specific needs and plans care accordingly.
