Registered Nurse - Wound Care Clinic - Casual
About The Position
This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care within a Wound Care Clinic. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting patient care according to established medical and nursing plans. This includes coordinating care with the health team, supervising LPNs, HBO technicians, and nursing students, and collaborating with all members of the patient care team. The nurse must be able to respond effectively to changes in patient condition and function as a charge nurse when assigned. A key aspect of the role is understanding and addressing the age-specific needs of patients throughout their lifespan.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
- Current license as an RN in Pennsylvania
- BLS required or obtained within 1 month of hire
- ACLS required or obtained within 6 months of hire
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 2 years med-surg experience preferred
- Wound care experience preferred
- HBO experience preferred or attained within 2 months of hire (FT and PT only)
- Experience in outpatient clinic setting preferred
- Wound certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and recording patient care in accordance with the medical and nursing plans of care.
- Coordinating nursing care in conjunction with other members of the health team.
- Directing and assisting with the Licensed Practical Nurse, HBO technician, and Nursing Students in rendering care to patients.
- Working collaboratively with all members of the patient care team.
- Responding quickly and appropriately to changes in patient’s clinical condition.
- Demonstrating the ability to function as a charge nurse as assigned.
- Demonstrating knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the span of life and identifies age-specific needs and plans care accordingly.
