The Resource Registered Nurse position for Wake's Resource Team requires floating to the facilities in one of the following zones: Zone 9: Baptist, Lexington, High Point & Davie or Zone 10: Baptist, Wilkes, Hugh Chatham & Alleghany. This role is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families through the continuum of care. The nurse will monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, mobilize resources, and collaborate with the care team to influence care outcomes. Upholding a culture of safety and continuously evaluating patient, team, and unit outcomes are key aspects of this role. The position may involve administering medications, treatments, and therapies safely and according to clinical protocols. Effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution are essential for fostering team collaboration and appropriate delegation. The nurse is expected to pursue professional development, complete required education, and maintain certifications, adhering to the ANA Code of Ethics and practicing ethical decision-making. Appropriate delegation to other healthcare professionals is also a responsibility. Maintaining accurate, timely EHR documentation is required. The nurse may be required to float to other units, departments, care areas, or facilities within the designated service area to meet patient care needs and must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served, understanding the principles of growth and development over the life span.
