Registered Nurse Women's LDRP
About The Position
The OB Post-Partum department at St. Catherine Hospital consists of 12 LDRP, one triage, one OR suite, four pediatric rooms and seven open bay NICU Level II rooms. This consists of three different units: L&D, pediatrics and NICU. We treat pregnant women, pediatric patients from two to 17 days, 32 weeks gestational to 40 weeks for NICU. This department is desirable as it is a rural, main hub, where caregivers get to see and do almost anything. We are very hands-on when taking care of patients. Candidates are welcome who are flexible and passionate about patient care. Candidates must be willing to help in other departments depending on our census. Requirements
- Associates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates
- One year RN experience preferred
- Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty
- RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a compact state
Nice To Haves
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing preferred for experienced RNs
Responsibilities
- Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.
- Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.
