About The Position
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Women & Family Center in Ottumwa, Iowa. The RN will work under the supervision of the Director and will be responsible for providing nursing care to assigned patients, including women in labor, post-delivery, post-surgical patients, newborn nursery, special care nursery, and pediatrics.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Current Iowa RN License or compact state nursing license allowing practice in Iowa
- Current BCLS certification
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in Maternal Child Nursing or Medical/Surgical nursing preferred, but not required
- NRP certification required within 12 months
- Basic fetal monitoring course required within 12 months
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to Women & Family Center patients
- Complete physical and psychosocial assessments of assigned patients
- Create, update, and individualize Nursing Care Plans in collaboration with patients and families
- Implement and evaluate Nursing Care Plans
- Support and contribute to the Medical Plan of Care
