Registered Nurse / Day Shift / 6am-6pm

Heartland is looking for a Weekend Supervisor to join their team. This role involves overseeing staffing, admissions, discharges, education, conducting tours for prospective residents, addressing family/resident concerns, and other assigned duties. Requirements
- Licensed to practice in this state.
- Maintains CPR certification.
- Ability to learn, absorb, and apply professional training.
- Follow doctor’s orders and keep records in a prescribed manner.
- Ability to perceive differences in patient behavior and recognize symptoms.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing, by telephone, and in personal contacts.
- Ability to organize work procedures, assume responsibility, and tactfully supervise others.
- Maintains a positive attitude and is an open-minded, supportive member of the Nursing team.
- Willingness to learn job responsibilities of Supervisor.
Nice To Haves
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (BSN, ASN).
- Participates in continuing education so that he/she has knowledge of current trends and developments in nursing and maintains current licensure requirements.
- Ventilator Unit/Critical care/Special care experience.
Responsibilities
- Oversee staffing, admissions, discharges, and education.
- Conduct tours for prospective residents.
- Address family and resident concerns.
- Supervise and evaluate the work performance of nursing staff.
- Monitor care provided to ensure policies and procedures are followed.
- Carry out disciplinary actions as stated in personnel policies.
- Complete admission, discharge, and transfer documentation as needed.
- Monitor resident lab schedule and results.
- Monitor 24-hour report sheets and follow up accordingly.
- Supervise meal service in dining rooms.
- Ensure hydration and snacks are passed timely.
- Monitor nursing documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure daily assignments are being followed.
- Respond to all family and resident concerns.
- Participate in the Quality Improvement/Quality Assurance program.
- Make walking rounds.
- Complete Daily Check List and turn into ADON daily.
- Assist ADON as needed.
- Complete Monthly Summaries as assigned.
- Complete Skilled documentation as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
