About The Position

Become an After-Hours Hospice RN with Georgia Hospice Care. At Georgia Hospice Care, we prioritize work/life balance for our nurses and are committed to caring for patients as we would our own families. We are seeking compassionate registered nurses to join our team who are dedicated to creating meaningful experiences for patients and their families. As a registered nurse, you will advocate for patients, communicate with patients, families, and the hospice care team, and ensure patients receive quality care. After-Hours Hospice RNs are salaried full-time positions covering on-call duties from Friday 5 PM to Monday 8 AM. You will be supported by a 24/7 RN-staffed Triage Department and your local hospice team. Georgia Hospice Care offers a supportive leadership team and professional development opportunities with room for advancement.

Requirements

• A heart to serve patients and families and a passion for providing the best possible care.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current state license as a registered nurse.
• 2+ years of nursing experience in a clinical care setting.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, move intermittently and lift at least 80-100 lbs and bear the weight of an average adult effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Hospice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a voice for patients.
• Communicate with the patient, patient's family, and the hospice care team.
• Serve as the patient advocate.
• Ensure every patient receives the quality care they deserve.
• Cover on call after hours from 5pm on Friday to 8am Monday morning.
